It's growing and spreading!

What is growing on my trees and fence? How do I get rid of it? This green "stuff" is taking over. It started on the fence, I think. Now, it is on numerous trees and a couple of them don't look very good. Pictures attached. Thanks for your help, Sandy

Our daughter and son in law bought a place in Lancaster. We want to bring hellebores, mums and other perennials from our garden to plant in their yard. We live in GA. When is the best time next spring to plant them? Thanks

Honey bee swarms

Does the Garrard County Extension Office have a program where beekeepers can be contacted if someone reports a honey bee swarm? If so, how do I apply for this program?

Caring for Fruit Trees

I moved into a new house last year and found out that I have two peach trees and one apple tree in my backyard. I've never had fruit trees, so I do not know anything about caring for them. Last year, the fruit never quite got to the size you would see at the grocery store and then they suddenly started 'oozing' some gel-like substance and then the fruit died. What do I need to do to have better luck this year?

Gnats

I WATERED MY AFRICAN VIOLETS IN MY SINK OVERNIGHT LIKE ALWAYS. THIS MORNING I NOTICED NUMEROUS TINY BLACK GNATS FLYING OUT OF THE DIRT. WHAT CAN I DO? NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY PLANTS BEFORE. BRENDA

Fencing for a medium sized hobby garden

I plan to grow a medium sized hobby garden this year and am unsure if I should bother with fencing it in. Is it really worth the time and money to fence it off? - The only known animals that would have easy access would be our neighbor's cats and dog. - The size I estimate the garden will be is roughly 40' x 15'

Preparing ground for a medium sized hobby garden

I'm planing a medium sized hobby garden (maybe 40' x 15') and I am not sure what I should do to the soil in preparation. Plow? Till? Other options? - We have experience with squarefoot gardening, but not much with row gardening. We've had our soil tested - now we're trying to understand the results! - Presently it's just grass, some crabgrass, I'm sure, but it's not all weeds - Most of what we're trying to grow are fruit/leaf crops (tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, etc...), though we are planting a few root crops (carrots, onions)
