Weed treatment for lawns in the fall

Hi. I read in Kentucky Gardener magazine that fall is a good time to treat weeds. The article mentioned using a post emergent broad spectrum (?) herbicide. However, I sent my husband in Lowes and he said they don't carry weed treatments in the fall. Could you tell me some brands to look for so I can look online and order something? Any idea why this stuff is hard to find? Seems like I'm the only one out looking for this stuff but the crabgrass and other weeds are bad! THANKS

great garden

My brother has a great garden. The bad thing about it he has every creature on 4 legs come to munch. The last uninvited guess is a skunk. How can he get rid of this Lil creature without harm?

Endless Summer Hydrangeas

My two Endless Summer Hydrangeas have stopped blooming for the last several years. They are mature height at 5 feet and full of green leaves. Last year, they started trying to produce blooms late which were killed by frost. I plan to get rid of them and replace with something else, unless you can help with this problem.

1 acre lot

We have a 1 acre lot , behind our house and several neighbors houses. We would like to plant low growing vegetation or flowers , easy to maintain, not to costly to get started or keep up, and not block views of the ponds behind. We do not want to mow since the field is quite rough to ride over. We also would need help finding someone with equipment to get the field ready and seeds planted . We have seen areas on the side of the interstate planted for bee and butterfly habitats and think something like that might be nice we are open to other ideas or suggestions. Thank you! Leaning Tree

Our neighbors' birch tree seems to be in danger of falling onto our property and, no doubt, damaging our house. Is anyone on staff that could give us advice as to how serious the situation seems? We are good friends with our neighbors, so no problem there - and we love the tree. Just don't want it to fall. Any advice would be appreciated, or could you direct us to a City/County office that may be of service, i.e., arborist on staff? Address is 1406 Equestrian Way (Silver Lake Farm). Thank you!
