warped lid after water bath for beets

After canning some pickled beets yesterday, I water bathed them for the required time and noticed two lids with a little ripple in them. I hoped they would flatten out when cooled but this morning, there's still a warp towards the edge, although the vacuum is intact. Should I re-lid these two and water bath them again or not?

Peony leaves shriveling and gold

We just planted our peonies this year in our backyard which is the east side of our house. It gets very hot out there and the peony leaves look terrible. The branches look ok, but there is no new growth. Do you think it's too hot for them?

We have just cleaned up a flower bed of about 80-90 impatiens that had become infected with impatiens downy mildew. We dug them up and bagged all roots(with a lot of surrounding dirt), leaves, stems and dead material. My question is; can we treat the ground with anything to kill any remains of the spores or virus that are in the soil. We have heard that a mixture of Hilex and water would kill off any virus left in the ground. We would like to try planting the New Guinea Impatiens that are said to be resistant to this disease but wanted to do everything possible to clean up the soil. Thank you, Conrad

Raspberries were planted last year, they are planted in full sun in nice black dirt (Cow manure was used to fertilizer) but, the plants do not seem to be producing. Do you know if something else should be done to the raspberries?

We purchased a home with a pond two years ago. The one-third acre pond is approximately 30 years old. This year we have experienced a great deal of fibratous mat type algae. We are using Cutrine and trying to "rake out" debris and scoop out the mats. This does not seem to be working very well. We need a consultation or suggestions

60 Foot Tall Spruce Tree Problem of Dry Needles

I just noticed dried out needles on the south side of almost the entire height of our 60-foot spruce tree, located on our rental property on the Hill in Boulder. It could be a type of rust. Could just watering the tree help it? How can I locate a qualified arborist who could give me some solid tree advice?
