We have a honey crisp tree and last year the apples had brown dimples on the outside skin on the apple and the inside of the apple was brown around the spots. It looks like the picture of leafroller. Is there a natural pesticide that we can use on the tree that won't kill bees? What do you recommend?

Why is my Daphne failing?

Hello. I'm hoping you can help me with my favorite garden plant. My Daphne, which is at least 15 years old seems to be failing. It has lots of yellow leaves and seems to be missing quite a few. I have definitely noticed the change this year, but now that I think about it, the problem may have started last year. The plant is on the west side of my house but is shaded by large Maple trees in the afternoon. Thanks so much for your time.

Removing Bermuda grass from difficult spaces

I have Bermuda grass growing in a few unwanted places in my yard. I have some growing in a bed of African Aloe and also in my cactus garden. In both the aloe and the cactus garden, I can't get to the roots of the grass because of the dense spines of the other plants. I've successfully used glosphate to rid my yard of the rest of grass in open areas, but I'm worried that I will spray desirable plants where the grass grows in tight spaces. Help!

What's happening to my olive tree?

I have been growing this weeping olive tree in a pot on my deck for 15 years. Of course I bring it inside for the winter. I try not to over water, but wonder if I did for the past month, when I watered and fertilized (Miracle Grow) every week. The tree began growing well, then suddenly some leaves showed a drying pattern, while others began to be stunted and curled. The tree is about 4.5 feet tall. The tree has never bloomed (hints accepted!)

Yellowing in White Pines

Hi.

I transplanted the small pine in the foreground of the photo last summer. It did very well and was flourishing nicely. Come fall it began to yellow. As did lower portions of the large pine next to it. Any ideas? I can come up with more saplings to plant but I am concerned about the bigger pine.

Thanks for your help!
